May I cease this opportunity to bring to your knowledge
the fact that Osun State ranks as one of the most
peaceful state in the country. The cost of living
and conducive atmosphere provides a good working environment
and a room for socio-cultural interaction, one of
the ideas of this noble programme.
As
good ambassadors of your respective communities, we
expect you to be responsible and serve as role models
for younger generations, as well as contribute to
the growth and development of the state.
The
National Youth Service Corps as a programme is being
run by officials who will attend to needs and require
your courtesy and cooperation, for a fulfilling service
year.
Baptist
High School, Ede, had been the venue for the conduct
of the orientation or simply put the “orientation
camp”.
I
am happy to announce to you the timely accomplishment
of the new orientation camp, Ede, which is the permanent
site, ready for your arrival. I congratulate you as
the first set of corpers to enjoy the facilities provided.
I also implore you to set a good sanitary example
for the sustenance of the facilities so that those
who will come after you will enjoy the benefits too.
The
facilities on ground include accommodation hostels,
parade ground, Man-O-War gadget, an accommodating
dining hall etc.
The
setting of the new orientation camp provides an atmosphere
for mobile communication especially with the presence
of MTN and GLOBACOM here in Ede. There will also be
sign-post to guide you to the orientation camp, to
ease your difficulties.

must take into cognizance, some basics as indicated

redeployment after registration |
Pregnant
women or nursing mothers won’t be allowed
to register for the service year as we are very
concerned with the well being of the baby and
mother. Pregnancy test will be conducted for
all female corps members before the registration. |

with your statement of result approved by the
senate of your school. |
Come
with your Joint Admission and Matriculation
Board (JAMB) letter of admission. |
Over
80% of registered corps members will be posted
to schools. |

In
view of the above, we are sure of your maximum cooperation,
as we expect a reciprocation of the kind gesture of
the state government and the state body of the NYSC.
We
must extend our heartfelt gratitude to the government
of the day, under the able leadership of his Excellency,
the governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola,
for its assistance, including a transformer and 3
boreholes for sufficient water and power supply. OYIN
